Woven hose refers to a product made by weaving a layer of stainless steel wire outside a stainless steel hose or rubber hose, mainly used for electrical circuit protection and pipeline connectors such as household faucets, toilets, and showers.

Woven hoses can generally be divided into single ended tubes, woven tubes, and shower tubes according to their functions. According to the production process, woven hoses can be divided into three categories: low, medium, and high. The low-end braided hose is made of aluminum wire with a finer wire diameter at the lower end, iron nut, zinc alloy inner core, and rubber inner tube. This configuration of product has a certain price advantage, but it has the lowest grade and is prone to problems such as water leakage and oxidation. The mid range braided pipes are mainly made of 304 steel wire, EPDM material, and all copper accessories. The applicable period is generally more than 5 years. High end braided hoses have specific uses, such as braided hoses for water purifiers. The general requirement is to prioritize mid range configurations. Common configurations include 304 stainless steel wire, food grade silicone inner tube, food grade PEX-B inner tube, 58-3 all copper accessories, silicone gasket, etc.

Woven hoses can be divided into single ended pipes, woven pipes, and shower pipes (shower hoses) according to their usage. Single head pipes are mainly used for kitchen and bathroom hardware such as faucets and vegetable basins. Her name comes from having external teeth at one end, also known as poles. The weaving of single head pipes requires 304 stainless steel wire, EPDM inner pipes, and accessories are all copper. The weaving pipes can be divided into stainless steel and alloy wire (aluminum wire), also divided into upper and lower parts. Shower pipes generally have 201 and 304 stainless steel braids, EPDM inner pipes, and all copper accessories. Shower tubes are generally made of 58-3 copper fittings, EPDM inner tubes, woven from 201 and 304 stainless steel. Of course, they also include high-end all copper braided products and stainless steel gilded products, which are relatively high-end products among braided hoses.

The commonly used execution standards for braided pipes are GB/T23448-2009 or JC886-2001. As braided pipes are mainly used for water supply connections in sanitary or drinking water equipment, water directly comes into contact with human skin or is consumed directly after passing through the pipes. So the material of the inner pipe in contact with the water source is crucial. The existing national standards or standards of the Ministry of Construction require that the internal pipe materials must comply with the "GBT17219-1998 Safety Evaluation Standard for Drinking Water Transmission and Distribution Equipment and Protective Materials" to ensure that the water source is not polluted. In Europe, Germany has higher requirements for braided pipes, especially those connected to drinking water, which require microbiological toxicity W270 testing on the inner pipes. Under this requirement, existing raw materials such as PVC and EPDM no longer meet the requirements. The latest inner tube materials commonly used in the European market are mainly silicone tubing or PEX-B tubing. Due to the high cost of silicone tubing, PEX-B tubing will be the future trend in the European market. Of course, it includes other developed countries such as Europe and America.
